• Technology in the project (in-app purchase, stripe connect, agora platform)
• Testing note (language, currency, payment, ratio, user role, user experience)

JMeter is a software test tool that helps analyze and measure the performance of software applications and products. Besides, Ms. My Vu, Manual Testing at Adamo Software also gives a brief introduction to the Shop Stream project. There are some pros and cons of choosing performance testing with JMeter in the software development life cycle. To broaden knowledge, Adamo Software has held a technology workshop on performance testing and its testing tool of Jmeter.

This testing tool is open-source software written in Java for both web and FTP applications if the system supports a Java Virtual Machine. Furthermore, speakers choose performance testing amongst other types of software testing for Shop Stream projects. During the software development project, testers use JMeter to evaluate the performance, load, and functional testing of web applications.

Introduction to ShopStream

ShopStream, a B2C on “live social shopping” marketplace, is a great example. This marketplace features a curated portfolio of brands targeted at clients seeking distinctive shop experiences and brand engagement. “Our team conducted the Shop Stream project for about 8 months. We have been through many difficulties and challenges and also learned a lot. It is hard to communicate due to remotely-working policies. However, we have gained knowledge of JMeter Tool and experiences when running this project.”, said Ms. My Vu, our speaker.

She continued “We use JMeter to test the performance of web applications based on the characteristics of Shop Stream projects. It helps test both static and dynamic resources. Additionally, JMeter helps define concurrent users on the website and provide a variety of graphical analysis for performance testing. This testing tool includes load test and stress test of the web while people are live-streaming”.

We have customized this technology workshop for our teams who can gain knowledge of performance testing with JMeter if they have another live-streaming project in the future. This workshop is based on our hands-on experiences in which attendants will share their thoughts and discuss possible challenges and feasible solutions.
